October 3, 2024: Elizabeth City, NC 27909 The Northeastern Eagles football squad scored 16 points and limited the visiting Hertford County Bears to 8 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Eagles now hold a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Riverside-Martin for a non-league test on Thursday, October 10. Northeastern will meet a Knights squad coming off a 40-0 non-league win over Gates County (Gatesville, NC). The Knights record now stands at 2-0.
With the defeat, Hertford County drops to 1-2 on the campaign. The Bears travel to North Johnston (Kenly, NC) to meet the Panthers in a non-league test on Thursday, October 10. The Panthers come into the test with a record of 3-2. North Johnston lost 26-20 in their recent non-league test against Lakewood (Roseboro, NC)
