Maryland High School Soccer - Mountain Ridge knocks off Bishop Walsh
October 3, 2024: Frostburg, MD 21532 Fans at Thursday's non-league battle between the Mountain Ridge Miners (Frostburg, MD) and the visiting Bishop Walsh Spartans (Cumberland, MD), saw Mountain Ridge's soccer squad knock off Bishop Walsh by a count of 3-0.
The Miners (9-0) will now prepare for their battle against Allegany (Cumberland, MD). The Campers enter the Appalachian battle with a 5-4 record. In their last battle, Allegany tipped Fort Hill (Cumberland, MD), 4-3, in a league battle.
Next up, the Spartans confront the Fort Hill Sentinels (Cumberland, MD) in a non-league battle, on Monday, October 7. Bishop Walsh will attempt to upgrade on its 2-8 season record. The Sentinels enter the battle with a 4-5 record after their 4-3 league loss to Allegany (Cumberland, MD).
