October 3, 2024: Birmingham, AL 35219 John Carroll Catholic Cavaliers (Birmingham, AL) boosters left the game thrilled Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Corner Yellow Jackets (Warrior, AL), 3-1 in a non-league test.
With the win, John Carroll Catholic improves its record to 7-8 on the season. The Cavaliers travel to Decatur (Decatur, AL) to face the Red Raiders in a non-league test on Saturday, October 5. The Red Raiders go into the test with a record of 15-17.
The Yellow Jackets now own a 38-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Springville for a 5A Area 11 test on Monday, October 7. Corner will face a Tigers squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Geraldine (Geraldine, AL). The Tigers record now stands at 16-14.
