In Thursday's league challenge, the visiting Onaway Cardinals volleyball team scored a close 3-2 triumph over the Johannesburg-Lewiston Cardinals.

The Cardinals (20-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Alcona (Lincoln, MI). The Tigers come into the non-league challenge with a 7-5 record.
