The Poteau Pirates football team (Poteau, OK), dropped 49-35 in Friday's league bout with the visiting Ada Cougars (Ada, OK)

The Cougars (5-0) will now prepare for their contest against Hilldale (Muskogee, OK). The Hornets enter the 4A District 4 contest with a 2-3 record. In their last contest, Hilldale gained a win over Glenpool (Glenpool, OK), 28-21, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Pirates battle the Glenpool Warriors (Glenpool, OK) in a 4A District 4 contest, on Friday, October 10. Poteau will attempt to better on its 4-1 season record. The Warriors enter the contest with a 0-5 record after their 28-21 league loss to Hilldale (Muskogee, OK).
