North Carolina High School Football - Albemarle crushed by North Stanly

October 3, 2025: New London, NC 28127

North Stanly Comets (New London, NC) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the visiting Albemarle Bulldogs (Albemarle, NC), 37-0 in a league battle.

With the win, North Stanly improves its record to 6-0 on the season. The Comets travel to South Stanly (Norwood, NC) to play the Rowdy Rebel Bulls in a Yadkin Valley 2A/3A test on Friday, October 10. The Rowdy Rebel Bulls come into the test with a record of 4-2. South Stanly lost 20-14 in their recent league test against North Rowan (Spencer, NC)

With the defeat, Albemarle drops to 2-4 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy (Huntersville, NC) to meet the Eagles in a non-league test on Friday, October 10. The Eagles come into the test with a record of 0-6. Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy lost 23-8 in their recent non-league test against Union Academy (Monroe, NC)
