Iowa High School Football - Alburnett can't hold off Bellevue
October 3, 2025: Alburnett, IA 52202 Bellevue Comets (Bellevue, IA) boosters exited the stadium in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team tip the host Alburnett Pirates (Alburnett, IA), 33-28 in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Comets face the Tipton Tigers (Tipton, IA) in a 2A Group 5 challenge, on Friday, October 10. Bellevue will attempt to improve on its 6-0 season record. The Tigers come into the test with a 0-6 record after their 43-16 league loss to West Branch (West Branch, IA).
With the defeat, Alburnett drops to 4-2 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Monticello (Monticello, IA) to meet the Panthers in a 2A Group 5 test on Friday, October 10. The Panthers come into the test with a record of 0-6. Monticello lost 24-14 in their recent league challenge against Anamosa (Anamosa, IA)
