Texas High School Football - Carthage trounces San Benito
October 3, 2025: San Benito, TX 78586 In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Carthage Bulldogs football squad scored a decisive 41-3 triumph over the San Benito Greyhounds.
The Bulldogs (5-0) will now prepare for their battle against Center (Center, TX). The Roughriders go into the 4A-2 Region II District 8 battle with a 2-3 record. In their last battle, Center was crushed by Madisonville (Madisonville, TX), 21-14, in a non-league battle.
The Greyhounds now own a 0-6 record. They play next when they travel to Hanna for a 6A Region IV District 32 battle on Friday, October 10. San Benito will play a Golden Eagles team coming off a 42-19 non-league loss to Mission Veterans Memorial (Mission, TX). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 2-4.
