The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Central Grizzlies (Fresno, CA) and the host Modesto Christian Crusaders (Modesto, CA), witnessed Central's football team nip Modesto Christian by a final score of 21-19.

With the win, Central advances its record to 2-2 on the season. The Grizzlies travel to Cabrillo (Lompoc, CA) to encounter the Conquistadores in a non-league bout on Friday, October 10. The Conquistadores enter the contest with a record of 5-1. Cabrillo won 28-21 in their recent league bout against Morro Bay (Morro Bay, CA)

The Crusaders now own a 1-6 record. They play next when they travel to Berean Christian for a non-league bout on Saturday, October 11. Modesto Christian will confront a Eagles squad coming off a 49-0 non-league loss to King's Academy (Sunnyvale, CA). The Eagles record now stands at 2-3.
