Great Mills Hornets (Great Mills, MD) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the visiting Chopticon Braves (Morganza, MD), 40-0 in a league battle.

With the win, Great Mills improves its record to 3-2 on the season. The Hornets host La Plata (La Plata, MD) to play the Warriors in a non-league battle on Thursday, October 9. The Warriors come into the match with a record of 0-5. La Plata lost 40-0 in their recent non-league match against Lackey (Indian Head, MD)

Coming up next, the Braves meet the Westlake Wolverines (Waldorf, MD) in a non-league match, on Friday, October 10. Chopticon will attempt to improve on its 1-4 season record. The Wolverines enter the challenge with a 4-1 record after their 17-7 non-league win over McDonough (Pomfret, MD).
