The Highland Bulldogs felled the host Civic Memorial Eagles football team by a score of 40-17 in Friday's league challenge.

Next, the Bulldogs meet the Waterloo Bulldogs (Waterloo, IL) in a Mississippi Valley test, on Friday, October 10. Highland will attempt to move on its 3-2 season record. The Bulldogs come into the test with a 4-2 record after their 48-14 league win over Jersey (Jerseyville, IL).

With the defeat, Civic Memorial drops to 1-5 on the campaign. The Eagles host Mascoutah (Mascoutah, IL) to meet the Indians in a Mississippi Valley test on Friday, October 10. The Indians come into the test with a record of 4-2. Mascoutah won 16-7 in their recent league test against Triad (Troy, IL)
