Crest Chargers (Shelby, NC) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the visiting South Point Red Raiders (Belmont, NC), 42-7 in a league battle.

With the win, Crest improves its record to 5-1 on the season. The Chargers travel to Huss (Gastonia, NC) to play the Huskies in a Big South 5A/6A match on Friday, October 10. The Huskies come into the match with a record of 5-2. Huss won 32-29 in their recent league match against Forestview (Gastonia, NC)

Coming up next, the Red Raiders meet the North Gaston Wildcats (Dallas, NC) in a Big South 5A/6A match, on Friday, October 10. South Point will attempt to upgrade on its 4-2 season record. The Wildcats come into the match with a 1-6 record after their 65-0 league loss to Kings Mountain (Kings Mountain, NC).
