The Ellington (CT) varsity football team won Friday's home conference game against Stafford/Somers/East Windsor (Stafford Springs, CT) by a score of 36-21.
The Ellington Knights football squad scored 36 points and limited the visiting Stafford/Somers/East Windsor Bulldogs to 21 in the Knights league triumph on Friday.
The Knights now sport a 4-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Coventry/Windham RVT/Bolton for a Pequot - Uncas test on Friday, October 10. Ellington will face a Patriots team coming off a 34-16 non-league loss to CREC [Computer Science and Engineering/Academy] (Enfield, CT). The Patriots record now stands at 1-3.
The Bulldogs (2-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Rockville (Vernon, CT). The Rams enter the Pequot - Uncas challenge with a 4-0 record. In their last challenge, Rockville ran past Sports & Medical Sciences Academy/Bulkeley/Classical Magnet (Hartford, CT), 69-6, in a league challenge.
