Louisiana High School Football - Franklinton can't hold off Sumner
October 3, 2025: Franklinton, LA 70438 Sumner Cowboys (Kentwood, LA) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team tip the host Franklinton Demons (Franklinton, LA), 21-14 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Sumner improves its record to 5-0 on the season. The Cowboys travel to Springfield (Springfield, LA) to play the Bulldogs in a 3A District 8 battle on Friday, October 10. The Bulldogs go into the battle with a record of 2-3. Springfield won 40-34 in their recent non-league test against Central Private (Baker, LA)
With the defeat, Franklinton drops to 3-2 on the campaign. The Demons host Abbeville (Abbeville, LA) to meet the Wildcats in a non-league test on Thursday, October 16. The Wildcats come into the test with a record of 1-4.
