The crowd at Friday's league bout between the Southern Choctaw Indians (Gilbertown, AL) and the host Fruitdale Pirates (Fruitdale, AL), saw Southern Choctaw's football team bounce Fruitdale by a final score of 60-8.

With the win, Southern Choctaw advances its record to 6-0 on the season. The Indians host Leroy (Leroy, AL) to encounter the Bears in a 1A Region 1 bout on Friday, October 10. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 7-0. Leroy won 60-20 in their recent league bout against Marengo (Dixons Mills, AL)

The Pirates now own a 1-6 record. They play next when they travel to Sweet Water for a 1A Region 1 bout on Friday, October 10. Fruitdale will encounter a Bulldogs team coming off a 45-0 league win over Shields (Beatrice, AL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-4.
