In Friday's non-league match, the host Grapevine Faith Christian Lions football squad scored a decisive 56-7 triumph over the Lake Country Christian Eagles.

The Lions (4-0) will now prepare for their match against All Saints (Fort Worth, TX). The Saints come into the TAPPS Division II District 1 battle with a 5-0 record. In their last battle, All Saints walloped Evergreen (Vancouver, WA), 49-21, in a non-league battle.

The Eagles now have a 1-4 record. They play next when they host Lubbock Christian for a TAPPS Division III District 1 battle on Friday, October 10. Lake Country Christian will play a Eagles team coming off a 36-33 non-league win over Richland (Prosper, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 5-1.
