The Montezuma-Cortez Panthers felled the visiting Gunnison Cowboys football squad by a margin of 21-6 in Friday's league test.

The Panthers now sport a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Salida for a 2A Intermountain test on Friday, October 10. Montezuma-Cortez will meet a Spartans squad coming off a 57-8 league loss to Pagosa Springs (Pagosa Springs, CO). The Spartans record now stands at 0-5.
