The Hubbertville Lions football squad scored 53 points and limited the host Pickens County Tornadoes to 6 in the Lions league triumph on Friday.

The Lions now sport a 6-0 record. They take the field next when they host Brilliant for a 1A Region 5 challenge on Friday, October 10. Hubbertville will face a Tigers team coming off a 62-0 league loss to Marion County (Guin, AL). The Tigers record now stands at 3-3.

The Tornadoes (2-4) will now prepare for their challenge against South Lamar (Millport, AL). The Stallions enter the 1A Region 5 challenge with a 0-5 record. In their last challenge, South Lamar was overwhelmed by Berry (Berry, AL), 54-33, in a league test.
