Spectators at Friday's non-league battle between the May Tigers (May, TX) and the host Irion County Hornets (Mertzon, TX), saw May's football team triumph over Irion County by a final score of 60-12.

With the win, May advances its record to 5-1 on the season. The Tigers host Rocksprings (Rocksprings, TX) to play the Angoras in a non-league battle on Friday, October 10. The Angoras go into the battle with a record of 3-3. Rocksprings lost 60-13 in their recent non-league battle against Leakey (Leakey, TX)
