The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Newton Braves (Newton, NJ) and the visiting Jefferson Township Falcons (Oak Ridge, NJ), witnessed Newton's football squad wallop Jefferson Township by a tally of 55-14.

The Braves (3-2) will now prepare for their contest against Hackettstown (Hackettstown, NJ). The Tigers enter the Super - American Blue contest with a 3-3 record. In their last contest, Hackettstown was trounced by Kittatinny Regional (Newton, NJ), 36-22, in a league bout.

The Falcons now own a 1-5 record. They play next when they host Hanover Park for a non-league bout on Friday, October 10. Jefferson Township will encounter a Hornets team coming off a 50-0 league win over Pequannock (Pompton Plains, NJ). The Hornets record now stands at 6-0.
