The Tyler Lions (Tyler, TX) football tipped the host Joshua Owls (Joshua, TX), 17-16 in Friday's league outing.

The Lions now sport a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they host Cleburne for a 5A-1 Region II District 7 outing on Friday, October 10. Tyler will battle a Yellowjackets team coming off a 56-28 league loss to Midlothian (Midlothian, TX). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 2-4.
