The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Linden Patriots (Linden, AL) and the host Marion Rams (Marion, AL), witnessed Linden's football squad wallop Marion by a tally of 36-0.

The Patriots (4-3) will now prepare for their contest against Holy Spirit Catholic (Tuscaloosa, AL). The Saints enter the 1A Region 3 contest with a 1-5 record. In their last contest, Holy Spirit Catholic was trounced by Hubbertville (Fayette, AL), 60-6, in a non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Rams battle the Hatch Bobcats (Uniontown, AL) in a 1A Region 3 bout, on Friday, October 10. Marion will attempt to advance on its 1-5 season record. The Bobcats go into the bout with a 2-4 record after their 40-0 league loss to University Charter (Livingston, AL).
