The Weeping Water Indians football team (Weeping Water, NE), was crushed 55-6 in Friday's non-league bout with the visiting Lourdes Central Catholic Knights (Nebraska City, NE)

With the win, Lourdes Central Catholic advances its record to 5-1 on the season. The Knights host Johnson County Central (Tecumseh, NE) to battle the Thunderbirds in a D1 District 1 (8 Man) contest on Friday, October 10. The Thunderbirds enter the contest with a record of 5-1. Johnson County Central won 56-24 in their recent league contest against Omaha Christian (Omaha, NE)

Coming up next, the Indians battle the Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer Titans (Humboldt, NE) in a D2 District 1 (8 Man) contest, on Friday, October 10. Weeping Water will attempt to better on its 4-2 season record. The Titans enter the contest with a 1-5 record after their 50-44 league win over Cedar Bluffs (Cedar Bluffs, NE).
