Minnesota High School Football - Mankato East sneaks past Waconia
October 3, 2025: Mankato, MN 56001 The Mankato East Cougars football squad scored 22 points and limited the visiting Waconia Wildcats to 21 in the Cougars league triumph on Friday.
The Cougars now sport a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Apple Valley for a non-league test on Friday, October 10. Mankato East will meet a Eagles squad coming off a 43-24 league win over Burnsville (Burnsville, MN). The Eagles record now stands at 3-3.
With the defeat, Waconia drops to 4-2 on the year. The Wildcats host Chaska (Chaska, MN) to face the Hawks in a Northstar - South Gold game on Friday, October 10. The Hawks enter the game with a record of 4-2. Chaska lost 28-14 in their recent league game against Chanhassen (Chanhassen, MN)
