Florida High School Football - Mitchell winner over River Ridge

October 3, 2025: New Port Richey, FL 34655

The Mitchell Mustangs (New Port Richey, FL) football knocked off the visiting River Ridge Royal Knights (New Port Richey, FL), 37-21 in Friday's non-league outing.

The Mustangs now sport a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Wiregrass Ranch for a 6A District 9 outing on Friday, October 10. Mitchell will clash with a Bulls squad coming off a 46-7 league win over Sunlake (Land O' Lakes, FL). The Bulls record now stands at 2-4.

With the defeat, River Ridge drops to 6-1 on the campaign. The Royal knights host Clearwater (Clearwater, FL) to battle the Tornadoes in a 4A District 10 game on Friday, October 10. The Tornadoes enter the game with a record of 4-3. Clearwater lost 33-27 in their recent non-league game against Lake Wales (Lake Wales, FL)
