In Friday's non-league game, the Wilson Prep Tigers (Wilson, NC) football team overcame the host Mount Zion Christian Academy Mighty Warriors (Durham, NC), by a tally of 36-16.

In their next game, the Tigers face the Washington County Panthers (Plymouth, NC) in a Eastern Carolina 1A game, on Friday, October 17. Wilson Prep will attempt to better on its 2-5 season record.

The Mighty Warriors (3-2) will now prepare for their outing against Hickory Grove Christian (Charlotte, NC). The Lions come into the non-league outing with a 4-1 record. In their last outing, Hickory Grove Christian achieved victory over Covenant Day (Matthews, NC), 36-7, in a league outing.
