Michigan High School Football - Westwood can't hold off Negaunee
October 3, 2025: Negaunee, MI 49866 Negaunee Miners (Negaunee, MI) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team nip the visiting Westwood Patriots (Ishpeming, MI), 1-0 in a league battle.
With the win, Negaunee advances its record to 4-2 on the season. The Miners travel to Menominee (Menominee, MI) to confront the Maroons in a Western Peninsula - Copper battle on Friday, October 10. The Maroons go into the battle with a record of 6-0. Menominee won 61-6 in their recent league battle against Gladstone (Gladstone, MI)
The Patriots now own a 0-6 record. They play next when they host Kingsford for a Western Peninsula - Copper challenge on Friday, October 10. Westwood will face a Flivvers team coming off a 41-0 league win over Hancock (Hancock, MI). The Flivvers record now stands at 5-1.
