October 3, 2025: Palos Heights, IL 60463 In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Oak Forest Bengals football squad scored a good 44-21 victory over the Shepard Astros.
The Bengals (6-0) will now prepare for their match against Bremen (Midlothian, IL). The Braves enter the South Suburban - Blue match with a 0-6 record. In their last match, Bremen was dropped by Hillcrest (Country Club Hills, IL), 52-0, in a league battle.
The Astros now own a 1-5 record. They play next when they travel to Argo for a South Suburban - Red battle on Friday, October 10. Shepard will play a Argonauts team coming off a 55-6 league loss to Richards (Oak Lawn, IL). The Argonauts record now stands at 0-6.
