The Penncrest Lions (Media, PA) football knocked off the visiting Upper Darby Royals (Drexel Hill, PA), 34-7 in Friday's league contest.

The Lions (5-2) will now prepare for their contest against Marple Newtown (Newtown Square, PA). The Fightin' Tigers enter the Central contest with a 3-4 record. In their last contest, Marple Newtown gained a win over Lower Merion (Ardmore, PA), 42-7, in a league contest.

Next up, the Royals encounter the Garnet Valley Jaguars (Glen Mills, PA) in a Central bout, on Friday, October 10. Upper Darby will attempt to advance on its 1-6 season record. The Jaguars go into the bout with a 5-2 record after their 49-14 league win over Radnor (Radnor, PA).
