Pinellas Park Patriots (Largo, FL) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football squad smash the host Tarpon Springs Spongers (Tarpon Springs, FL), 38-6 in a non-league match.

The Patriots (3-4) will now prepare for their match against Braden River (Bradenton, FL). The Pirates come into the 5A District 9 match with a 3-3 record. In their last match, Braden River routed North Port (North Port, FL), 24-14, in a non-league match.

Coming up next, the Spongers play the Dunedin Falcons (Dunedin, FL) in a non-league battle, on Friday, October 17. Tarpon Springs will attempt to improve on its 1-6 season record.
