In Friday's league match, the host Pope John Paul II football squad scored a close 20-13 triumph over the Pottsgrove Falcons.

The (6-1) will now prepare for their battle against Pottstown (Pottstown, PA). The Trojans go into the Pioneer - Frontier battle with a 0-7 record. In their last battle, Pottstown was tipped by Phoenixville (Phoenixville, PA), 34-8, in a league battle.

The Falcons now have a 2-5 record. They play next when they travel to Upper Merion Area for a Pioneer - Frontier battle on Friday, October 10. Pottsgrove will play a Vikings team coming off a 42-6 league loss to Upper Perkiomen (Pennsburg, PA). The Vikings record now stands at 1-6.
