Ohio High School Football - Vermilion can't hold off Port Clinton

October 3, 2025: Vermilion, OH 44089

Port Clinton Redskins (Port Clinton, OH) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team tip the host Vermilion Sailors (Vermilion, OH), 29-28 in a league battle.

With the win, Port Clinton improves its record to 4-3 on the season. The Redskins host Edison (Milan, OH) to play the Chargers in a Sandusky Bay - Bay battle on Friday, October 10. The Chargers go into the battle with a record of 5-2. Edison lost 27-10 in their recent non-league battle against Clyde (Clyde, OH)

The Sailors now have a 4-3 record. They play next when they travel to Huron for a Sandusky Bay - Bay battle on Friday, October 10. Vermilion will meet a Tigers squad coming off a 28-14 league loss to Bellevue (Bellevue, OH). The Tigers record now stands at 3-4.
