Texas High School Football - Roma nudges Port Isabel

In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Roma Gladiators football squad scored a close 14-7 victory over the Port Isabel Tarpons.

The Gladiators (4-2) will now prepare for their match against Pioneer (Mission, TX). The Diamondbacks enter the 5A-2 Region IV District 15 match with a 4-2 record.

In their next game, the Tarpons play the St. Joseph Academy Bloodhounds (Brownsville, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, October 9. Port Isabel will attempt to improve on its 2-4 season record. The Bloodhounds go into the challenge with a 2-4 record after their 66-42 non-league win over La Feria (La Feria, TX).
