October 3, 2025: Calmar, IA 52132 The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Wapsie Valley Warriors (Fairbank, IA) and the host South Winneshiek Warriors (Calmar, IA), witnessed Wapsie Valley's football squad topple South Winneshiek by a tally of 40-14.
The Warriors (6-0) will now prepare for their contest against East Marshall (Le Grand, IA). The Mustangs enter the A District 4 contest with a 4-2 record. In their last contest, East Marshall thwarted East Buchanan (Winthrop, IA), 31-8, in a league contest.
Coming up next, the Warriors confront the Nashua-Plainfield Huskies (Nashua, IA) in a A District 3 contest, on Friday, October 10. South Winneshiek will attempt to better on its 3-3 season record. The Huskies enter the contest with a 5-1 record after their 51-22 league win over Starmont (Arlington, IA).
