In Friday's non-league game, the St. James Wildcats (St. James, LA) football team edged the visiting St. Charles Catholic Comets (LaPlace, LA), by a tally of 34-28.

In their next game, the Wildcats face the Archbishop Shaw Eagles (Marrero, LA) in a non-league game, on Friday, October 10. St. James will attempt to move on its 4-1 season record. The Eagles come into the outing with a 3-2 record after their 28-20 non-league win over De La Salle (New Orleans, LA).

With the defeat, St. Charles Catholic drops to 4-1 on the campaign. The Comets travel to Terrebonne (Houma, LA) to clash with the Tigers in a non-league outing on Friday, October 10.
