Texas High School Football - Lamar can't hold off Bowie

Bowie Volunteers (Arlington, TX) fans went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team tip the host Lamar Vikings (Arlington, TX), 45-38 in a league battle.

With the win, Bowie improves its record to 7-2 on the season. The Volunteers host South Grand Prairie (Grand Prairie, TX) to meet the Warriors in a 6A Region I District 8 test on Thursday, November 6. The Warriors come into the test with a record of 8-0. South Grand Prairie won 30-6 in their recent league challenge against Haltom (Haltom City, TX)

The Vikings (4-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Grand Prairie (Grand Prairie, TX). The Gophers go into the 6A Region I District 8 challenge with a 2-7 record. In their last challenge, Grand Prairie was nipped by Arlington (Arlington, TX), 49-7, in a league test.
