The Jena Giants (Jena, LA) football trounced the visiting Caldwell Parish Spartans (Columbia, LA), 46-6 in Thursday's league outing.

The Giants now sport a 8-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Buckeye for a 3A District 2 game on Friday, November 7. Jena will battle a Panthers team coming off a 20-0 league loss to Marksville (Marksville, LA). The Panthers record now stands at 4-5.

The Spartans (2-7) will now prepare for their game against Vidalia (Vidalia, LA). The Vikings enter the 3A District 2 game with a 2-7 record. In their last game, Vidalia was crushed by Bunkie (Bunkie, LA), 60-0, in a league bout.
