The Bishop McGuinness Fighting Irish were victorious over the visiting Newcastle Racers football team by a score of 24-14 in Friday's league challenge.

Next, the Fighting Irish clash with the MacArthur Highlanders (Lawton, OK) in a 5A District 1 test, on Friday, November 7. Bishop McGuinness will attempt to move on its 9-0 season record. The Highlanders come into the test with a 7-2 record after their 45-6 league win over Southeast (Oklahoma City, OK).

With the defeat, Newcastle drops to 6-3 on the campaign. The Racers travel to Southeast (Oklahoma City, OK) to face the Spartans in a 5A District 1 game on Thursday, November 6. The Spartans enter the game with a record of 6-3. Southeast lost 45-6 in their recent league game against MacArthur (Lawton, OK)
