Massachusetts High School Football - Braintree thwarted by Newton North
October 31, 2025: Newtonville, MA 02460 Newton North Tigers (Newtonville, MA) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Braintree Wamps (Braintree, MA), 20-0 in a non-league test.
The Tigers now sport a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Brookline for a Bay State - Carey test on Tuesday, November 25. Newton North will face a Warriors team coming off a 40-13 league loss to Framingham (Framingham, MA). The Warriors record now stands at 1-7.
The Wamps (2-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Milton (Milton, MA). The Wildcats go into the Bay State - Herget challenge with a 7-1 record. In their last challenge, Milton toppled Natick (Natick, MA), 21-14, in a non-league challenge.
