California High School Football - Lincoln can't hold off Christopher

Christopher Cougars (Gilroy, CA) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team nip the host Lincoln Lions (San Jose, CA), 31-29 in a league battle.

The Cougars (5-4) will now prepare for their match against Live Oak (Morgan Hill, CA). The Acorns come into the Mount Hamilton match with a 7-2 record. In their last battle, Live Oak was tipped by Leigh (San Jose, CA), 35-28, in a league battle.

The Lions now hold a 7-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Santa Teresa for a Mount Hamilton match on Friday, November 7. Lincoln will meet a Saints squad coming off a 59-49 league win over Branham (San Jose, CA). The Saints record now stands at 9-0.
