The Cole Cougars edged the visiting Poteet Aggies football squad by a margin of 36-34 in Friday's league test.

The Cougars now sport a 3-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Crystal City for a 3A-1 Region IV District 14 test on Friday, November 7. Cole will clash with a Javelinas squad coming off a 32-29 league win over Lytle (Lytle, TX). The Javelinas record now stands at 8-1.

With the defeat, Poteet drops to 2-7 on the campaign. The Aggies host Hondo (Hondo, TX) to clash with the Owls in a 3A-1 Region IV District 14 test on Friday, November 7. The Owls enter the game with a record of 7-2. Hondo lost 28-26 in their recent league game against Jourdanton (Jourdanton, TX)
