Dawson Bulldogs (Dawson, TX) boosters left the game content Friday as they observed their football squad nudge the visiting Rio Vista Eagles (Rio Vista, TX), 27-21 in a league test.

The Bulldogs now hold a 4-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Italy for a 2A-1 Region II District 7 challenge on Friday, November 7. Dawson will face a Gladiators team coming off a 2-0 league win over Itasca (Itasca, TX). The Gladiators record now stands at 2-7.

The Eagles (6-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Valley Mills (Valley Mills, TX). The Eagles go into the 2A-1 Region II District 7 challenge with a 6-3 record. In their last challenge, Valley Mills nipped Dawson (Dawson, TX), 28-14, in a league test.
