Texas High School Football - Floresville crushed by La Vernia
October 31, 2025: Floresville, TX 78114 La Vernia Bears (La Vernia, TX) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the host Floresville Tigers/Jaguars (Floresville, TX), 49-7 in a league battle.
With the win, La Vernia upgrades its record to 8-1 on the campaign. The Bears host El Campo (El Campo, TX) to meet the Ricebirds in a 4A-1 Region IV District 15 match on Friday, November 7. The Ricebirds come into the match with a record of 6-3. El Campo lost 35-31 in their recent league challenge against Calhoun (Port Lavaca, TX)
The Tigers/Jaguars (3-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Jones (Beeville, TX). The Trojans go into the 4A-1 Region IV District 15 challenge with a 1-8 record. In their last challenge, Jones was ripped by Bay City (Bay City, TX), 30-23, in a league challenge.
