October 31, 2025: Longview, TX 75605 The Gilmer Buckeyes football squad scored 55 points and limited the host Spring Hill Panthers to 28 in the Buckeyes league triumph on Friday.
The Buckeyes now sport a 3-6 record. They take the field next when they host North Lamar for a 4A-2 Region II District 7 test on Friday, November 7. Gilmer will meet a Panthers squad coming off a 58-7 league loss to Van (Van, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 0-9.
The Panthers (2-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Pittsburg (Pittsburg, TX). The Pirates enter the 4A-2 Region II District 7 challenge with a 6-3 record. In their last challenge, Pittsburg fell by Pleasant Grove (Texarkana, TX), 51-14, in a league challenge.
