Louisiana High School Football - Gueydan crushed by Vermilion Catholic
October 31, 2025: Abbeville, LA 70510 The Vermilion Catholic Eagles walloped the visiting Gueydan Bears football team by a score of 63-0 in Friday's league challenge.
In their next game, the Eagles face the Westminster Christian Academy Chargers (Lafayette, LA) in a 1A District 6 challenge, on Friday, November 7. Vermilion Catholic will attempt to improve on its 4-5 season record. The Chargers go into the challenge with a 5-4 record after their 49-21 league loss to Ascension Episcopal (Lafayette, LA).
The Bears (0-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Highland Baptist Christian (New Iberia, LA). The Bears go into the 1A District 6 challenge with a 0-9 record. In their last challenge, Highland Baptist Christian was ripped by Hanson Memorial (Franklin, LA), 45-0, in a non-league challenge.
