In Wednesday's non-league contest, the Central Lions (Carrollton, GA) volleyball squad knocked off the visiting Alexander Cougars (Douglasville, GA), by a margin of 2-0.

Next up, the Lions battle the Cedartown Bulldogs (Cedartown, GA) in a 4A Area 7 contest, on Thursday, October 12. Central will attempt to better on its 22-15 season record. The Bulldogs come into the contest with a 21-18 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Rockmart (Rockmart, GA).
