The Bayard Rustin Golden Knights got by the host Downingtown East Cougars football team by a score of 14-7 in Friday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Golden Knights play the Great Valley Patriots (Malvern, PA) in a Ches-Mont - American challenge, on Thursday, October 10. Bayard Rustin will attempt to improve on its 6-1 season record. The Patriots go into the challenge with a 3-6 record after their 35-0 non-league loss to Downingtown West (Downingtown, PA).

The Cougars (5-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Coatesville (Coatesville, PA). The Red Raiders go into the non-league challenge with a 5-2 record. In their last challenge, Coatesville nipped Henderson (West Chester, PA), 49-20, in a non-league challenge.
