The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Fort Stockton Panthers (Fort Stockton, TX) and the visiting Big Spring Steers (Big Spring, TX), witnessed Fort Stockton's football squad knock off Big Spring by a tally of 44-20.

The Panthers (5-1) will now prepare for their contest against Seminole (Seminole, TX). The Indians enter the 4A-2 Region I District 1 contest with a 6-0 record. In their last contest, Seminole gained a win over Hereford (Hereford, TX), 49-17, in a non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Steers battle the Kermit Yellow Jackets (Kermit, TX) in a non-league contest, on Friday, October 11. Big Spring will attempt to better on its 2-4 season record. The Yellow Jackets enter the contest with a 1-5 record after their 49-19 non-league loss to Eunice (Eunice, NM).
