October 4, 2024: Donnellson, IA 52625 The West Burlington Falcons football squad scored 34 points and limited the host Central Lee Hawks to 13 in the Falcons league triumph on Friday.
The Falcons now sport a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they host Albia for a 2A District 5 test on Friday, October 11. West Burlington will meet a Blue Demons squad coming off a 41-7 league win over Davis County (Bloomfield, IA). The Blue Demons record now stands at 4-2.
With the defeat, Central Lee drops to 4-2 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Mid-Prairie (Wellman, IA) to meet the Golden Hawks in a 2A District 5 test on Friday, October 11. The Golden Hawks come into the test with a record of 3-3. Mid-Prairie won 24-8 in their recent league test against Mediapolis (Mediapolis, IA)
