October 4, 2024: Viborg, SD 57070 Viborg/Hurley Cougars (Viborg, SD) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the visiting Chester Flyers (Chester, SD), 68-25 in a league battle.
With the win, Viborg/Hurley improves its record to 5-1 on the season. The Cougars travel to Hanson (Alexandria, SD) to play the Beavers in a Cornbelt (9 Man) battle on Friday, October 11. The Beavers go into the battle with a record of 3-3. Hanson lost 36-6 in their recent league battle against Howard (Howard, SD)
The Flyers now have a 2-4 record. They play next when they host Canistota for a non-league battle on Friday, October 11. Chester will play a Hawks team coming off a 50-14 non-league win over Sioux Falls Lutheran (Sioux Falls, SD). The Hawks record now stands at 4-2.
